Climate & sustainability advisory
I work as an energy and sustainability advisor at SLR Consulting, where I also act as the de facto AI lead for the energy advisory team. The work sits where climate ambition meets market machinery — the instruments we have built to put a price on a shared problem.
Three threads run through it. The first is corporate net-zero strategy: client tooling to quantify carbon removal cost exposure under the SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard V2.0, alongside Scope 3 strategy and long-horizon decarbonisation modelling for industrial and pharmaceutical clients. The second is carbon markets and Article 6 — regulatory architecture analysis, additionality assessment and portfolio strategy, including Article 6.2 work on battery storage in Chile and the attribute collisions that arise where certificate regimes overlap. The third is insetting and environmental attribute certificates: value-chain interventions and book-and-claim mechanics, including UK road freight under the RTFO and emissions accounting aligned to the GLEC Framework.
Client work is anonymised here as a matter of course. What the consulting years have taught me is the premise the rest of this site keeps returning to: the analysis is rarely the bottleneck. The willingness is.
